This tournament is in honor of William "Bill" Robertson who was a longtime member of Arlington Country Club, serving on the Board of Directors, and acting as a very strong advocate for the tennis program at Arlington. He was a weekly player out at the club since the early 1970s and has touched many lives with his dedication and support of the game. Mr. Robertson passed away in 2002 and with the help of his son, Robbie, this tournament has been held in Mr. Robertson's honor since the year of his passing. We honor his hard-work and dedication to both the game of tennis and the Richmond community through this memorial tournament.

SPECIAL NOTICE:

Some matches will be played at Madison Central High School and EKU Martin Hall Courts. Everyone must check in at Arlington Country Club no matter where you are scheduled to play. There is a BACKDRAW in this tournament for both Singles and Doubles. If you decide you do not want to play in the BACKDRAW you need to let the Tournament Desk know when you check in. Having the BACKDRAW is a wonderful addition to this tournament. This guarantees everyone at least two Singles and two Doubles matches. All BACKDRAW matches will use the NO-AD Scoring format and also a 3rd set Super-Tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set. Everyone come and have some fun!!

All Main Draw matches will be Super Tiebreak in lieu of 3rd set until the Semi-finals.

Directions to Arlington Country Club, 1510 Lexington Road:

From I75 coming North bound
Take exit 90 and veer right off the exit via the service road.
That road will take you by Cracker Barrel.
Keep following that road until the stop sign.
Turn right onto Lexington Road.
Arlington Country Club is around the bend on the right hand side; look for the golf course.
Take the second entrance to the club through the stone pillars and parking will be behind the tennis courts.

From I75 coming South bound
Take exit 90 A (the second exit) around a long turn ramp.
Continue to follow the road but stay in the right lane.
You will come to a big intersection (2nd light off ramp)
Turn right onto Lexington Road and follow road around the bend.
Arlington Country Club is around the bend on the right hand side; look for the golf course.
Take the second entrance to the club through the stone pillars and parking will be behind the tennis courts.

• This tournament is open to all tennis players.

• You may sign up for this tournament via phone or email.

• You do not have to be a USTA Member to play in this tournament
  although, we encourage all tennis players to join the USTA.
